2013 Syrah

Vineyard:
Our Syrah is sourced from the Yverdon Vineyard at an
elevation of 2,000 feet. Four small blocks were
planted in 2006 to three French clones of syrah, 174,
470, and 525. These vines are tucked up against the
ridge at some of the highest and cooler elevations on
the property. The soils in this area are extremely
rocky which contribute to the struggle that these vines
endure.

Tasting:
Blueberry, boysenberry and black currant with white
pepper and crème de cassis aromas. Bold dark fruit on
the palate with a savory minerality. Sweet fruit
mingled with rich coffee and hazelnut flavors fill out
the long finish.
