
Our New Label Design
In 1997 A
ngus and Margaret Wurtele commissioned their graphic-designer daughter, Heidi, to create the logo and label for what would become an internationally recognized and respected brand of small-production wines from the Spring Mountain District. Over the past thirteen vintages, the Wurteles have developed their estates into world-class vineyards that consistently produce remarkable wines. Throughout this time, the Terra Valentine brand has remained consistent. Fast forward to today, where we are still a small team operating a family-owned winery in a world-renowned appellation known for its hillside fruit producing as exceptional cabernet as our hearts, hands, and love for wine can offer.
In the spirit of continuing our brand development we contracted the design firm CF Napa to redesign the label for our entire portfolio, offering us the opportunity to add under-stated embellishments and elegant details that we believe truly mirror the quality of our wine, while retaining the brand that we are built on. CF Napa worked closely with the Wurtele Family to retain the core elements of the original design and portray the archer in a more prominent and striking fashion. The 2009 vintage marks the introduction of our new summer white label, while 2007 will be the first vintage for our cabernet. Our hopes are that the new design continues to reflect the quality of wine within the bottle.
