Vineyard Notes:  We grww all the fruit for our estate Riesling on our Yverdon Vineyard at an elevation of almost 2,000 feet.  Two separate German clones were planted on two-acres in 2006, in six separate blocks.  The vines were grown in the coolest microclimates, which receive very little afternoon sun, protecting the acidity of this noble grape.

Winemaking Notes:  <span style="font-family:; font-size: 11pt;" palatino="" bold"="">Due to the varying clones and microclimates on our property, the Riesling harvest began October 10th and didn’t finish until November 3rd. After picking, a portion of the fruit was then whole-cluster pressed into small stainless steel tanks and neutral 60 gallon barrels.  Another portion was crushed and allowed to rest overnight on the skins to add complexity and richness.  This dry wine was fully fermented with no residual sugar.  Wine was aged five months surlie in neutral French oak puncheons, and then sterile-filtered before bottling in March.

Tasting Notes:   This wine shows classic Riesling character with floral and stone fruit aromas.  The palate is rich with citrus and peach flavors complemented by balanced acidity.

January 2023 Review: We recently revisited our library of Reisling and are impressed with the integrity they have held throughout the years. They're tasting more like a classsic Alsatian Reisling, dry, acid driven, with notes of honey, lemon zest, and white jasmin. Would pair perfectly with Oysters and scallops.
