2012 Napa Cabernet
The first vintage of Napa Cabernet was produced in 2009 as a restaurant only wine, currently you will see this wine on most wine list being poured by the glass. This is the perfect wine to pop the cork and pour a glass with or without food.
Vintage: "Classic" and "perfect" are just two accolades being bestowed upon the 2012 Napa Valley growing season and harvest. Textbook conditions saw near-ideal spring bud break, steady flowering, even fruit set, and a lengthy stretch of warm days and cool and often foggy nights during the long summer months. Late and light rains held off until Napa Valley's treasured wine grapes found optimal ripeness, bringing exceptional quality to the crush pad and into the cellar.
Tasting: Blueberry, ripe black cherry and mulbery jam notes mingled on the nose with cocoa powder, cedar and spices with crushed sage. Bright juicy fruit greets the palate with round, rich, coating flavors of black fruit and licorice and a soft lingering finish.
