The Yverdon Vineyard consists of 25 acres planted throughout the property which was originally planted back in the late 1960’s as the Yverdon Winery.
The Wurtele Vineyard (pronounced wer-tul), planted in the early 1990’s, is comprised of 35 acres planted to 100% clone 7 cabernet sauvignon
In 2009 we were blessed by a mild spring, late spring rains helped to develop water reservoirs, along with the lower than average high temperatures, helped reduce the need for water, resulting in higher flavor concentration in the fruit.
The 2006 Yverdon Cabernet is made from 100% cabernet sauvignon and is the third vintage from our newest estate vineyard.
